Bike rides, Tour de France and cold beers in the woods
Date: July 24—26
Start your days with guided bike rides through beautiful forests and open landscapes, followed by hearty “all on one board” lunches. We follow the Tour de France's mountain stages on a big screen with cold beers, talk and tactical discussions.
Dinners: day 1 at the long table, day 2 barbecue dinner under the open sky. Breakfast all three days. Stay in double rooms and bring a family member to explore Destination Gisselfeldfremfor to ride a bike.
Come as you are — with or without a helmet — and enjoy three days of movement, coziness and mountain climbing amidst the tranquility of the forest.
What is included
Program
**On July 24 - Arrival: ** 9:30 a.m.
You check in, put on your bike shoes, and our guide Morten takes you on a three-hour tour through the most beautiful woods and open landscapes around Woodland Lodge.
**Lunch: ** All on one board -- a hearty satiating sandwich that keeps the energy up: pulled pork with coleslaw and freshly baked bread.
After lunch, we gather in front of the big screen and follow the exciting mountain stages of the Tour de France on Alpe d'Huez, while cold beers await in the bucket. The talk goes, the tactics are discussed and the mood rises, as the riders fight their way up the mountains.
**Dinner Day 1: ** Long-table dinner with chicken, baked root vegetables, potatoes, lettuce and homemade bread -- simple, hearty and tasty.
The next morning we start with a quiet, hearty breakfast before repeating the programme: bike ride, lunch and the Tour de France on the big screen.
**Dinner Day 2: ** We light up the grill and have a cozy, relaxed dinner under the open sky.
There is one beer or glass of wine/soft drink per person for dinners and lunch. There are three cold beers or soft drinks per person for the Tour. Additional can be purchased.
**Breakfast Day 3: ** The days end with another calm, hearty breakfast before heading home with fresh energy and fond memories.
Accommodation is in double rooms, and you can easily bring a family member who would rather explore Destination Gisselfeld's many experiences than ride a bike.
