SOLD OUT: Write You Home with Camilla Karlslund November 14 - 16
Gisselfeldvej 26, 4690 Haslev
3 day writing course with nature as a back cover on November 14 - 16, 2025
Intro Price:
2,900.00 kr. Do you have anything that's been hard to say out loud? A feeling, an experience, a memory you have carried alone? Or are you stuck in your patterns and yearning for a new direction? It may also be that you are facing a life change or a great sadness that you find difficult to process. Whatever your starting point, the course will give you exercises and tools to communicate directly with your feelings and thoughts that may have been idle for too long. The course is for those who want to use writing as a path to understand yourself more deeply and create more space between you and what is weighing you down. You don't have to have written before. The only thing you have to bring is the courage to face yourself and the willingness to listen respectfully to others. It is a gift to receive and share what is written — but you control when and how much. In my writing classes, you get practice by practice, tool by tool. You learn to put into words what has been hidden away — out of shame, fear or silence. You get the opportunity to create distance from old traumas so that they turn into stories instead of defining who you are. You don't have to write to impress. You must write to feel, remember, heal — and find home in your own voice. Your texts will not be rated unless you ask for feedback yourself. You'll discover new abilities — and forgotten, hidden sides of yourself. The course takes place in a small group of max. 8 participants. There is, of course, a duty of confidentiality about what is shared in teaching. Before the start of the course you will have a personal online or phone conversation with me.It is a confidential conversation about your course progress and what themes you want to work on. We will also conclude with a personal interview on the last day of the course where I will guide you in your continued writing work and receive your feedback. If you are in an acute crisis, have a deep depression, are psychotic, or are otherwise very vulnerable, the course is not for you. I take good care of my students, but they also need to be able to take care of themselves. About the place The Woodland Lodge Gisselfeld is located in the middle of the forest at Gisselfeld Abbey on South Zealand, where the silence is not empty but gives way to tales waiting to be written. The historic house from 1906, created with soul and detail, opens the mind and invites contemplation. Here are spaces for calm, where thoughts can wander freely between words and tree crowns, and nature becomes a natural sparring partner with paths, lights and the change of seasons as inspiration. During the stay, even the breaks become part of the writing process, so that students can be inspired, unfold and write with renewed clarity.
You stay in a spacious room with views of the forest and the opportunity to retreat for further immersion. All meals are vegetarian and are served in the cozy living rooms. There are two shared bathrooms and three toilets in the house, as well as many options for scene changing. The Teaching All exercises are an alternation between writing and subsequently reflecting on the text, either in the group or on their own. Remember that these are exercises, not tasks that need to be solved. We use the reflection to investigate what came up and how it can be the basis for insight and a clue further. In teaching, I use short meditations and simple Qi Gong exercises, where no prerequisites are required. The body remembers and carries our emotions, so of course it is included in the course. We also do writing exercises on walks in nature. We work with three overarching themes: shame, the inner critic and personal strength The practical exercises consist, among other things, of poetry, free writing, letters, memories, sensing and dialogues. The event is published by Camilla Karlslund in collaboration with The Woodland Lodge Gisselfeld. For details on the trading conditions regarding the course itself, please visit camillakarlslund.dk
